President is Ready to Cooperate with Russia
During the Government Meeting on September 26, President Shevardnadze declared that Georgia is ready to cooperate with any structure of the Russian Federation to overcome problem of terrorism. However, President did not clarify whether this considers joint military actions on Georgian territory. Shevardnadze mentioned, that Head of General Staff of Georgian Armed Forces John Pirtskhalaishvili is holding consultations with Russian counterparts in Moscow.
Shevardnadze stated that current situation in the country is hard and admitted presence of terrorist on Georgian territory. However, he did not clarify identity of these terrorists.
