MIF of Georgia Excludes The Possibility of Joint Military Actions in Pankisi with Russia
Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia rejects possibility of Georgian-Russian joint military actions against guerrillas, who infiltrated Georgian territory from Chechnya, Russian news agency Interfax reports, quoting Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Kakha Targamadze. “Georgia will eradicate crime independently”, the Minister stated in Moscow today.
Russia accuses Georgia in harboring Chechen guerrillas in Pankisi and Kodori (Abkhazia) valley. Official Tbilisi denies the accusation.
