Abkhazians Make an Ultimatum to the Guerrillas in Kodori Gorge
Abkhazian government proposed to the combined Georgian-Chechen guerrillas to leave Kodori gorge – the only territory in Abkhazia controlled by the Georgian government, Russian news agency Interfax reports, quoting Minister of Defense of the breakaway Republic of Abkhazia Vladimir Mikarba today.
In case the guerrillas do not leave the gorge and return on the Georgian territory from where they have came before 10 a.m., October 7, Abkhaz military units will attack Kodori gorge, Mikarba stated.
Officials in Georgia deny that the Chechen guerrillas are on the territory controlled by the Georgian government.
