Zhvania: “Usually, the Coalition that I Lead Wins”

Answering the question of the correspondent of Nezavisimaya Gazeta on the chances of Aslan Abashidze-led coalition in next general elections, Zurab Zhvania stated: “It is hard to forecast the elections due in two years. However, I am used to the fact that it is the coalition that I lead which wins.”

Zurab Zhvania stayed in Citizens Union of Georgia even as the faction collapsed after president Shevardnadze resigned from its chairmanship. Rumors on Zhvania’s re-aligning to the new political entities have been abundant, however Zhvania himself did not provide any clear indication of his possible political affiliation.
