Internal Affairs Minister to Form the Special Group to Protect Foreigners

(Tbilisi. December 12. Civil Georgia) – Internal Affairs Minister Koba Narchemashvili stated today that creation of the special group to investigate the crimes committed against foreigners in Georgia is necessary.

President Shevardnadze demanded from the Internal Affairs and State Security Ministers to hasten investigation of the EU delegation representative Gunter Beuchel murder, at the government meeting on December 12.

Projects manager of the European Commission delegation in Georgia Gunter Beuchel was murdered in Tbilisi, while returning home late at night on December 9.

Over 100 crimes were committed against the foreigners in Georgia in past three years.
