Parliament Approves 2002 Budget
(Tbilisi, January 31, Civil Georgia) – The special Parliamentary session approved draft of the 2002 budget on January 31. 134 MPs supported proposed draft and only 20 were against.
Factions Traditionalists and Movement for Democratic Reforms did not supported the draft.
The government should propose a new draft with the increased spending within four months.
One billion 259 million Lari (approximately $573 million) is the expenditures’ part of the approved budget. Revenue consists of one billion 39 million Lari.
