Georgian, Abkhazian Sides to Discuss Joint Monitoring of Kodori
(Tbilisi, February 26, Civil Georgia) – On February 26 meeting between representatives of Georgian government and unrecognized Abkhazian authorities is planned to discuss issues of joint monitoring of Kodori gorge.
UN mission’s chief military observer Anis Ahmed Bajwa also participates in the meeting.
Georgian Defense Ministry states that it has already pulled out its military units from upper Kodori gorge, the only territory of breakaway Abkhazia controlled by the Georgian government.
At the previous meeting, a week ago sides could not agree on the details of the joint monitoring of the gorge.
