Georgia Denies it Dispatches Terrorists from Pankisi to Abkhazia

(Tbilisi, February 27, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Defense and State Security Ministries deny reports of unrecognized government of Abkhazia that Georgian authorities dispatch terrorists harboring in Pankisi gorge to breakaway Abkhazia.

Russian media sources reported on February 27 quoting vice-premier of unrecognized Republic of Abkhazia Valeri Arshba that terrorist move from Pankisi to Abkhazia with the assistance of the Georgian officials.

Last October Chechen fighters infiltrated Abkhazia and armed clashes occurred between combined Georgian-Chechen guerrillas and Abkhazian military units.
