Russia Denies Military Alert on Its Border with Georgia
(Tbilisi, March 26, Civil Georgia) – Russian Defense Ministry denied on March 25, that army units in North Ossetia, Russian Federation bordering with Georgia, are preparing for the military operations, Russian media sources report.
Reports said earlier that Russian armed forcers are on to high-alert at the Georgian border due to the Georgian forces possible attack on its breakaway regions of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, allegedly scheduled for April.
Unrecognized government of Abkhazia, as well as some influential Russian politicians claims that Georgia will use US trained military units against its breakaway regions.
