Defense, Foreign Ministers Informed MPs on Recent Development in Abkhazia
(Tbilisi, March 28, Civil Georgia) – Georgian Defense Minister Davit Tevzadze and Foreign Minister Irakli Menagarishvili reported MPs on situation in Abkhazia and possible provocations in breakaway region on March 27.
Foreign minister ruled out possibility of delay of US military instructions arrival in Georgia as it was supposed by some of the Georgian politicians after the statement of Defense Minister.
Davit Tevzadze said on March 26 that well-planned provocation against Georgia aims hindering US military instructors arrival and Georgia’s involvement in the armed conflict in breakaway Abkhazia.
Georgian Defense Minister stated at the Parliamentary session he intends to meet Russian peacekeepers on March 30 to discuss recent developments in Abkhazia.
