Parliament to Adopt Statement on Possible Provocation Against Georgia

(Tbilisi, March 29, Civil Georgia) – Today Georgian Parliament will discuss and adopt special document on possible large-scale provocation aiming Georgia’s involvement in the armed conflict in its breakaway Abkhazia.

On March 28 Georgian MPs agreed to adopt a statement and send all the international organizations, which aim to safeguard nations’ security.

“When Georgian Defense Minster says that Russia intends to involve Georgia in the armed conflict in Abkhazia, it means that situation is really serious,” former Parliamentary Chairman Zurab Zhvania stated.

It is anticipated that Foreign Minister Irakli Menagarishvili will inform MPs on the recent developments in Abkhazia and possibility of Georgia’s involvement in the armed conflict.
