Russian Peacekeepers Attacked

Russian peacekeepers report unidentified armed group on Arpil 7 attacked them. There are no casualties.

Three checkpoints of Russian peacekeeping troops deployed in Georgia-Abkhazian conflict zone under the auspices of Commonwealth of Independent States, were attacked.

Georgian Defense Minister Davit Tevzadze stated on March 26 that large-scale provocation was prepared against Georgia.

Davit Tevzadze said that provocation considers attacks against the Russian peacekeepers in the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict zone that will cause armed clashes.
