Parliament to Discuss New Ministerial Candidature
(Tbilisi, May 14, Civil.ge) – Parliamentary special session on May 14 is to discuss candidature of Mirian Gogiashvili, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Council on the post of the Finance Minister.
President Shevardnadze proposed Gogiashvili’s candidature after the Parliament voted for the merge of the Finance and Tax Revenue Ministries.
The government took the decision to reunify two ministries after the budgetary shortfall in the first quarter of 2002.
