OSCE to Assess Monitoring of Georgian-Russian Border
(Tbilisi, July 8, Civil Georgia) – Assessment mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) arrives in Georgia on July 8 to assess the monitoring of the Georgian-Russian border.
The OSCE monitors Georgian borders with the Ingush Republic and Georgia’s mountainous 81-kilometre frontier with the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation.
The Russian side constantly claims that the terrorist groups infiltrate into Russia from Georgia via the paths in the mountainous regions that lay across the Georgian-Russian frontiers.
