Heat-Seeking Missiles Found in Arms Caches in Pankisi

(Tbilisi, November 12, Civil Georgia) – In one of the arms caches found in Pankisi gorge, Georgian law enforces seized heat-seeking missiles. Three arms caches were found deep in the forest of the gorge on November 9.

Georgian law enforcers removed the mines from the third one on November 11. Anti-craft missiles, large number of explosives, machine-gun and mines were also found in the arms caches.

It is anticipated that after the examination of the arms they will be handed over to the Georgian Ministry of Defense.
