Mother of Russo-Belarus Oil Company Vice-President Abducted in Abkhazia
(Tbilisi, Civil Georgia, December 5, 2002) – Mother of Jumber Tkebuchava, Vice President of the Russian-Belarus oil company Slavneft is abducted in Georgia’s breakaway province of Abkhazia.
Russian media sources reported on December 4 that the kidnapping occurred a week ago. So far, the kidnappers have not put forward any demands.
This is the second case of abduction of the relatives of the Russian oil companies’ top managers. On December 1 Sadi Sharifov, father of the Vice President of the Russian energy giant LUKOil was abducted in South Georgia.
