Parliament Discusses Structural Changes of the Executive Government
(Tbilisi, December 26, 2002. Civil Georgia) – State Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze presented today at the Parliamentary special session reform of the executive government, which considers reduce of the ministries.
“40 ministries and the governmental departments are absolutely unnecessary for the country with the population of 5 million,” Avtandil Jorbenadze stated.
The draft considers cancellation of the Ministries of Construction and Urbanization and State Property Management.
According to the draft law the functions of these two ministries would be redistributed to the Environment Protection Ministry and Ministry of Trade, Economy and Industry.
