Broad Opposition Alliance Proposed
(Tbilisi, January 21, Civil Georgia) Leader of the New Nationalists Mikheil Saakashvili speaking today in Gori, proposed to create a broad opposition alliance for the upcoming elections. He said the proposal is a joint initiative with the United Democrats party.
In an evening newscast Zurab Zhvania of the United Democrats and Mikheil Saakashvili said the alliance should be based on a broad consensus regarding the future political setup of Georgia. They have also claimed the alliance is, at current stage open to any opposition force.
