Opposition New Rights Party Attacked
(Tbilisi February 3, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Today up to 20 armed men raided office of the opposition New Rights party in Tbilisi and destroyed equipment.
“Attackers were armed with the handguns. This violent raid is the continuation of the lawlessness that reigns in the country,” Davit Gamkrelidze, leader of the New Rights told the reporters.
The party’s leadership called the authorities to curb the violence and to investigate the incident in the nearest days.
