Georgian-NATO Consultations in Brussels

(Tbilisi. March 14, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Foreign Minister Irakli Menagharishvili visits Brussels to hold consultations with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

On March 13 Irakli Menagharishvili held talks with the NATO Secretary General, Lord Robertson.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry reports that the issue of integration of Georgia to the NATO is the top agenda discussed during the consultations.

Last November President Shevardnadze made an official bid for joining the alliance.
