Abkhaz de facto President Warns Over Possible Internal Instability
(Tbilisi. April 12, 2003. Civil Georgia) – In his address to the population of Abkhazia on April 12 de facto President of the breakaway region Vladislav Ardzinba warned that ?the irresponsible decisions of the certain political forces pose threat to Abkhazia.?
Abkhaz de facto President named as ?call for toppling the constitutional regime? the statement of the opposition Amtsakhara political movement, which demanded resignation of the cabinet, otherwise threatened to hold the mass protest rally in Abkhaz capital Sokhumi on April 10. Cabinet was dismissed, thus the meeting postponed.
Ardzinba said that the Prosecutor?s Office of the breakaway Abkhazia should take measures against ?this kind of statements.?
