Chief of the Turkish General Staff Visits Georgia

(Tbilisi. April 18, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Chief of General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces General Hilmi ?zkok pays one-day visit to Georgia today.

During the meeting with the Georgian Defense Minister General Hilmi ?zkok will discuss the issue of the financial assistance for the Georgian armed forces in 2003-2004.

?The issue of assistance of Turkey in reconstruction of the Marneuli airfield will be also discussed,? Nino Sturua, Spokesperson for the Georgian Defense Ministry told Civil Georgia on April 18.
