Presidential-Backed Alliance Leader Warns Over Anticipated Destabilization
(Tbilisi. April 21, 2003. Civil Georgia) – National-Democratic Party leader Irina Sarishvili-Chanturia, which is the deputy co-chairman of the pro-Presidential election Alliance for New Georgia that the destabilization is planned in Georgia on the eve of the Parliamentary elections.
?The Russian special services will use the certain political forces in Georgia to undermine situation in the country. The protest rallies of the students will be organized as a part of the plan,? Irina Sarishvili-Chanturia said.
Opposition parties say that the government fears of popular protests, as several political parties and the students have already held an anti-governmental rallies in front of the State Chancellery (President?s administration) in April, thus ?the authorities try to create an illusive threat of anticipated destabilization masterminded in Russia.?
