Maneuvers Intended Near Pankisi

(Tbilisi. April 28, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Defense Ministry intends to hold the military exercises in Akhmeta district near Pankisi gorge.

?Exercises will be held in the beginning of May. The exact date is not known yet,? Nino Sturua, Spokesperson for the Defense Ministry told Civil Georgia on April 28.

This will be the second large scale military exercises near Pankisi gorge in the last 8 months.
