NATO Secretary General to Visit Georgia
(Tbilisi. May 2, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Georgian Deputy Foreign Minsiter said at the news briefing today that the NATO Secretary General Lord George Robertson will visit Georgian on May 14.
“Georgia gets closer to NATO. Soon the coordination council will be formed, which will be chaird by President Shevardnadze. The council will coordinate the government’s activity aiming at integration into NATO,” Kakha Sikharulidze said.
President Shevardnadze made an official bid for Georgia’s NATO membership last November at the summit of the alliance in Prague.
