Protest Action of the Labor Party at the Supreme Court Building

(Tbilisi. May 5, 2003. Civil Georgia) – The Labor Party representatives held a protest action in front of the Supreme Court building, urging the court to compel the district courts, which do not satisfy complains of the local population against AES Telasi electric power distribution company.

The Labor Party claims that the district courts are not fulfilling the decision of the Constitutional Court, which cancels the fixed fee on electricity and obliges AES Telasi to pay compensation to the local residents, which have suffered from this fee.

However, the Supreme Court stated that it is not in its function to enforce or control fulfillment of the decision of the Constitutional Court.
