Georgian Veterans, Leaders Celebrate World War II Anniversary

(Tbilisi, May 9, 2003. Civil Georgia) – Today Georgian veterans of the World War II and the country’s leadership, including President Shevardnadze marked the 58th anniversary of the victory over Fascism in the park of Victory in Tbilisi.

Georgian President congratulated the WWII veterans with the anniversary and stressed the importance of defeating terrorism all over the world.

He said that like in the World War II, Georgia contributes in fight against the evil even now.
