Poverty Reduction Program Approved

(Tbilisi, June 25, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze approved the Poverty Reduction and Economic Growth Program at a government session today.

The program was elaborated by the Georgian experts under the recommendations of International Monetary Fund.

The project duration is 15 years. At the first stage it will facilitate the development of the country’s industry and agriculture.
