OSCE Secretary General Meets Shevardnadze
(Tbilisi, July 7, 2003, Civil Georgia) – Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) in Europe Jan Kubis, which visits Georgia, meets with President Shevardnadze today.
OSCE Secretary General told the reporters before the meeting that the conflicts in Georgia is the top issue discussed during his visit, however it is anticipated that Shevardnadze and Kubis will also discuss US proposals over the composition of the Georgian Central Election Commission (CEC}.
According to the US recommendation OSCE should nominate the Chairman of the CEC.
After the meeting with President Shevardnadze, OSCE Secretary General will hold talks with the Georgian Foreign Minister Irakli Menagharishvili.
