Opposition’s Leaflets Call People for Protest Rallies

The opposition National Movement party started today dissemination of leaflets in the streets of Tbilisi urging people “to protest against ballot fraud and Shevardnadze’s regime.”

“During the November 2 parliamentary elections entire Georgia declared mistrust to the authorities and voted for the democratic opposition. Time has come to protect our votes. We should unite to overthrow Shevardnadze’s regime”, the leaflets read.

The opposition called on the population to gather at 3 p.m. on November 8 to protect “the voter rights and the country’s dignity.”
