Shevardnadze Accuses Soros of Interfering in Georgia’s Internal Affairs

President Shevardnadze said in his live broadcast in the State TV Channel late on November 7 that the Soros Foundation funds opposition parties in Georgia and interferes in Georgia’s internal affairs.

President said he is “categorically against” the foreign countries and organizations interference.

“I demand that the head of the Soros Foundation’s local department [Open Society – Georgia Foundation] is punished for this. Georgia’s internal affairs are not the Soros’ business,” Eduard Shevardnadze stated.
