Court Ruled to Recount Votes in Kutaisi

The Kutaisi district court ruled today to recount the votes cast on November 2 parliamentary elections in Kutaisi.

The Labor Party and the Revival Union filed a lawsuit to the district court of Kutaisi, claiming the results were rigged. 

Nino Burjanadze, the Parliamentary Chairperson and leader of the opposition Burjanadze-Democrats election bloc, run for the Kutaisi single-mandate constituency.

Under the preliminary results of the elections, she won the elections. The opposition parties accuse the Labor Party and the Revival Union of cooperating with the pro-presidential bloc.
