U.S. Official, Adjarian Leader Held Talks
U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Lynn Pascoe and U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Richard Miles visited Adjara Autonomous Republic today in the morning.
The U.S. officials held talks with Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze over the current situation in the country.
Details of talks are not known yet. ?I think it will be better to comment later today,? Lynn Pascoe said upon his arrival from Batumi, Adjarian capital.
The U.S. intergovernmental team, led by Lynn Pascoe, has already arrived in Tbilisi and is holding talks with the Georgian authorities to review assistance, which the U.S. will provide Georgia.
