CEC Chief: Election Held in Normal Conditions

Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Zurab Tchiaberashvili said “the presidential elections started and are held in  normal conditions.”  

“No serious problems have been reported. There are some minor technical problems, but they will not hamper holding of elections,” Zurab Tchiaberashvili said at a news briefing on January 4. 

He once again called on the population to be more active and come to the polling stations. The first data over the voter turnout will be known by 2 p.m. Georgian time.
