Zhvania: Abashidze Refrains from Talks

Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania, who chairs specially set up anti-crisis center to tackled Adjarian tensions, told reporters on March 15, that he had a phone conversation with Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze.

“We proposed Mr. Abashidze to meet. President Saakashvili, is ready to meet Abashidze to find way out of this crisis, however he [Aslan Abashidze] refrained from meeting. The reasons are not known for us,” Zurab Zhvania said.
