Kmara Activist Beaten in Adjara

Activist of Kmara (Enough) opposition movement was beaten up in Adjarian capital on March 20.

Report comes two days after an agreement between President Saakashvili and Adjarian leader Aslan Abashidze to secure free activity of the opposition movements in the region.

Giorgi Charkviani of Kmara movement was attacked by unknown men when he was posting an election banners in the streets of Batumi.

Meanwhile Mayor of Batumi Giorgi Abashidze, who is son of Aslan Abashidze, offered the opposition parties today to use one of the buildings of the city for election rallies.
