CEC Calls for High Voter Turnout

Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Zurab Tchiaberashvili urged the citizens for higher voter turnout.

According to the CEC 449 thousand voters cast ballot by the midday. Around 2,2 million citizens went voter registration, however the total number of the voters will be known only after the polling stations are closed, as the registration continues on the elections day as well.  

Elections will be valid if at least 1/3 of voters cast ballot.
