Saakashvili Visits Brussels

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will pay a working visit to Brussels on 6-7 April to hold talks with EU and NATO leadership.

President Saakashvili, who will be accompanied by acting Foreign Minister Salome Zurabishvili, will meet Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy.

“The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the current situation in the country as well as EU-Georgia relations,” press office EU’s foreign policy chief reported on April 5.

Talks with Secretary General of NATO Jaap de Hoop Scheffer are also scheduled during the visit.
