PM, Defense Minister Visit U.S.

Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili left for the United States on April 25, for a five-day visit.


Talks with U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and National Security Advisor to the U.S. President Condoleezza Rice are planned during the visit.


Defense Minister Gela Bezhuashvili will discuss further military cooperation with the United States, Georgian Defense Ministry reported.


U.S.-funded Georgia Train-and-Equip Program (GTEP) was completed on April 24, after the last unit of Georgian troops graduated GTEP.
