Bush, Putin Discussed Georgia

U.S. President George W. Bush and Russian President Vladimir Putin held phone conversation on April 26, the White House and Kremlin reported.


White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan told reporters on April 26, that along with other issues two Presidents “also discussed the situation in Georgia.” However, the White House official did not specify further details.


Meanwhile visiting Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania told reporters in Washington on April 26 that situation in troubled Adjara Autonomous Republic is one of the issues discussed during the talks with the U.S. officials.
