Russian Security Chief Discussed Abkhazia in Tbilisi

Secretary of Russian Security Council Igor Ivanov, who paid four-hour long visit to Tbilisi on May 17, discussed Abkhazian conflict with the Georgian leadership.


Ivanov met President Saakashvili, Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and Secretary of Georgian National Security Council Vano Merabishvili. He left Tbilisi without making any comment.


?We discussed Abkhazian conflict. That is all I can say, no more details,? Secretary of Georgian National Security Council Vano Merabishvili told reporters.


Igor Ivanov visited Georgian on May 6 to mediate in resolving Adjara crisis. Ex-leader of Adjara Aslan Abashidze fled Georgia after talks with Ivanov.
