Khajimba: CEC Decision Illegal

Pro-governmental presidential candidate Raul Khajimba condemned the Abkhaz Central Election Commission?s decision to declare his opponent Sergey Bagapsh the winner of the October 3 presidential elections in the breakaway region and called his supporters for protest rallies.

?The CEC decision is illegal. While we were trying to solve the [election] dispute in the court, our opponents, supporters of Bagapsh, were forcing the CEC to adopt the protocol, which announced him [Bagapsh] the winner of the elections. My supporters are gathering now for a protest rally to show that not all of Abkhazia supports Bagapsh. We will use only legal means to confirm that we are right,? Raul Khajimba told the Russian state-run RTR television on October 12.
