Media Conference Opens in Tbilisi

More than fifty journalists from Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan will discuss developments in the media field in their countries at the first South Caucasus Media Conference, being held in Tbilisi from October 25-26.


The two-day conference is organized by the OSCE Mission to Georgia and hosted by the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Miklos Haraszti. Libel and Insult Laws and Freedom of Information will be the main topics discussed at the conference. 


Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantine Kavtaradze, Head of the OSCE Mission to Georgia Ambassador Roy Reeve and Miklos Haraszti will open the event, according to a press release issued by the OSCE Mission to Georgia.
