Georgian PM, South Ossetian Leader Held Talks

Face-to-face talks between Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Zhvania and South Ossetian de facto President Eduard Kokoev were held in Russia?s Black Sea resort town of Sochi on November 5, Georgian Deputy Security Minister Batu Kutelia told Rustavi 2 television in a telephone conversation from Sochi.
 
?The sides fixed their positions. The first meeting was held in a good atmosphere,? Batu Kutelia added.
 
He said, the issues of demilitarization of the South Ossetian conflict zone, joint monitoring of the Roki pass and economic projects were discussed during a meeting, which included participants from from the Russian Federation and the OSCE, prior to the face-to-face meeting between Zhvania and Kokoev. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Valery Loshchinin is participating in the talks from the Russian side.


The Deputy Security Minister did not rule out the signing of a particular document after the talks, which are still underway between the delegations.
