Council of Justice Chief Resigns Quoting Conflict of Interests
Chairman of Georgian Justice Council Pavle Kublashvili filed his resignation on February 21, two days after his brother Kote Kublashvili was nominated for the position of Chairman of the Supreme Court.
Pavle Kublashvili said the nomination of his brother as the Chairman of the Supreme Court was the only reason behind his decision.
The Justice Council is in charge of overseeing the judicial system?s performance.
