Burjanadze to Attend OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Session
A group of Georgian parliamentarians, led by Parliamentary Chairperson Nino Burjanadze, left for Vienna on February 24 to attend the Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
Burjanadze said the Georgian delegation will push the issue of the OSCE Border Monitoring Operation on the Russo-Georgian border, which has been suspended because of Russia?s veto, as well as the issue of withdrawal of Russian military bases from Georgia.
?We will draw attention to the fact that following the suspension of the OSCE Border Monitoring Mission, Russia [again] began its accusations towards Georgia [over harboring Chechen militants],? Burjanadze told reporters before departure.
