Abkhaz Finance Minister Appointed

On February 24 President of breakaway Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh appointed Beslan Kubrava as the Finance Minister of the unrecognized republic.

He will also serve as the Vice-Premier, the Abkhaz news agency Apsnipress reported. Beslan Kubrava was the Abkhaz Vice-Premier in 2001.

Abkhaz President Bagapsh has also signed a decree regarding the structure of the government, according to which there will be 12 Ministries and 7 State Committees in the executive government of the breakaway region.

All the members of the cabinet should be nominated and appointed no later than February 26.
