Moscow Mayor Meets Abkhaz Leader

Mayor of Moscow Yuri Luzhkov met with visiting President of breakaway Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh in the Russian capital, Moscow, on March 14, RIA Novosti news agency reported.

No details of the meeting were reported. Bagapsh left for Moscow on March 11 and was accompanied by Vice-President Raul Khajimba.

RIA Novosti also reported quoting Bagapsh on March 15 as saying that during the visit economic cooperation was discussed.

?Political issues were not put forwards, there was no need,? Bagapsh added.
