Austrian, Georgian Foreign Ministers Discuss Cooperation
Visiting Georgian Foreign Minister Salome Zourabichvili held talks with her Austrian counterpart Ursula Plassnik in Vienna on April 11 and discussed bilateral political and economic ties, as well as the settelement of the South Ossetian and Abkhaz conflicts and Georgia?s EU aspirations, the Austrian Foreign Ministry reported.
The two Ministers signed an agreement removing double taxation. ?This agreement should give a new impulse in our bilateral economic ties. Potential of bilateral trade is not being fully exploited,? the Austrian Foreign Minister said.
Ursula Plassnik also stated that Austria and the European Union are ready to further assist those democratic and rule of law reforms which are currently underway in Georgia.
She said that Austria supports the boosting of relations between Georgia and EU. ?With the development of Georgia?s Action Plan in frames of European Neighborhood Policy we are starting a new phase of concrete cooperation,? Ursula Plassnik added.
