High-Profile Murder Suspects Sentenced to Custody

Court sentenced four officers from the Interior Ministry’s Department of Constitutional Security (DCS), who are accused of killing Sandro Girgvliani to two-month pre-trial custody on March 8.


Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili announced this high-profile murder case solved after the police arrested Gia Alania, chief of the first unit of the DCS and three other officers from the same department, Avtandil Aptsiauri, Aleksandre Gachava and Mikheil Bibiluri, on suspicion of committing this crime on January 27.
